The Survey Database Section of the Survey Branch is responsible for the development and updating of the Survey Database of the LIS. The Survey Database (S.D.B.) stores data, according to the new geodetic reference system (ΚΓΣΑ '93), resulting from the resurvey project, or from new cadastral mappings carried out as part of the processing of the branch's cases and from land consolidation projects. By using the SDB, the Department ensures a reliable system for the input, storage, control and access of survey data. With the development of the SDB, the credibility of the survey data has been strengthened, the process of exchanging it with other departments and private licensed surveyors has been facilitated, and a number of new products are available, such as the Land Titles Map (LTM), the survey plan and a series of theme maps.
