COMPULSORY DIVISION/UPDATING OF TITLE BY A PERSON HAVING A LAWFUL INTERST – SECTION 65ΚΓ
Who can apply:
Where the registered owner of an immovable property, the title of which requires updating,
fails to submit an application under the section 65KB, the Director has the right to proceed
with compulsory updating of the title, acting either voluntarily or upon application of the
competent authority, or by a person having an interest in the property, including a
mortgagee or purchaser who has deposited his/her sale contract.
Required Documents / Conditions / Samples:
- Application Form
- Photocopy of both sides of the applicant’s identity card or passport or ARC (for foreigner applicants)
- Reference of applicant’s postal address and contact telephone number(s)
- If the application is submitted by a Proxy, either through a General Power of Attorney (fee of €50.00 for depositing the General PoA) or through a Special Power of Attorney (no fee), the Power of Attorney must be placed in the special box outside the building of the District Lands Office. The Power of Attorney must be duly stamped and the signature thereon certified.
