SEARCH CERTIFICATE OF IMMOVABLE PROPERTY FOR ADJACENT PROPERTIES
Who it concerns:
The applicant submits this application for an Immovable Property Search Certificate for Adjacent Properties in order to obtain all the information required to apply for a Boundary Dispute or for an Acquisition of Right-of-way. An officer of the District Office examines the application, prepares and delivers the Certificate, according to the method of delivery chosen by the applicant upon submission of the application.

If the application is submitted by a Proxy, either through a General Power of Attorney (fee of €50.00 for depositing the General PoA) or through a Special Power of Attorney (no fee), the Power of Attorney must be placed in the special box outside the building of the District Lands Office. The Power of Attorney must be duly stamped and the signature thereon certified.

Alternatively, you may submit your application at the District Lands Office (DLO) of the district of your choice, via email attaching:
- Application Form, signed by the applicant and the signature thereon duly certified,
- photocopy of both sides of the applicant’s identity card / ARC (for foreigners) / passport,
- any other document (e.g. an administration document) confirming that you are an interested person under Article 51A of the Immovable Property Law, Cap. 224, in case you are not an owner.
It is necessary to include a postal address and contact telephone numbers.
Furthermore, in case of the following exceptions, your application should be filed only by e-mail:
- The application is submitted by the parents of the registered owner who is a minor, attaching a photocopy of both sides of the minor’s identity card.
- The application is submitted by the heir of the owner, and it includes a certificate of death and heirs.
