ADMINISTRATION OF BUILDINGS, PERSONNEL’S HEALTH AND SAFETY SECTION

This Section handles matters relating to the Department's housing needs, including the construction of new buildings owned by the Department, the rental of buildings and parking spaces, and the work relating to relocations. The Section is also engaged in issues related to building maintenance, energy upgrades to buildings owned by the Department, security systems, filing systems, and telephone and electrical installations in the Department's buildings. There is a Health and Safety officer who handles related issues and coordinates the Department's health and safety committees across Cyprus. The Health and Safety Officer also coordinates the issue of classified documents, in cooperation with officers of the National Security Authority of the Ministry of Defence. Another responsibility of the Section is the proper operation of the canteens and the allocation of furniture and utensils within the Department.
