It is a tradition of the Department to offer the necessary training and vocational education to all its personnel, depending of course on the duties of each individual employee. The Department has an organised training centre at the Department's Headquarters in Nicosia, and a training centre at the Land Information Centre. From time to time and depending on the needs of the Service, courses are also held at external training centres and at the Cyprus Academy of Public Administration, with which the Department cooperates. The Department also undertakes training courses for the personnel of other Departments and Services on matters falling within its remit. This section undertakes the coordination of the theoretical and practical training of newly recruited officers, which consists of a curriculum of approximately three (3) months. It also manages the programme and funds regarding trainings and conferences held abroad.

In 2021, the following trainings were held:

• Various trainings in relation to new circulars and/or new procedures
• Trainings relating to the upgrade of the Land Information System
• Various trainings on programmes used by staff in carrying out their work, and on new information technologies
