DOCUMENT FOR THE REMOVAL OF THE MORTGAGE
Who can apply:
When a debt secured by a mortgage is repaid, the mortgagor has the obligation to proceed
with the removal of the mortgage. In cases where the mortgagor is a financial institution,
the mortgage is removed by submitting an online application. Where the mortgagor is not a
financial institution, then he/she must appear before the relevant District Lands Office, submitting
all the necessary documents for the removal of the mortgage.

How to submit:
The submission of all necessary documents is effected at the DLO you wish to have the legal transaction processed. Once the validity and completeness of the documents have been verified by the DLO, you shall be notified of the date and the time of the appointment to process the transaction, either by telephone or via e-mail
