The Geodesy/Hydrography/Photogrammetry Sector is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and expanding the Geodetic Network of Cyprus. It is responsible for carrying out special surveys and cartographies, for both the land and sea areas of Cyprus. Its purpose is to collect geographic data for the production of special cartographic products (such as Orthophotos, Hydrographic and Aeronautical Maps, and Orthorectified Satellite Images) for the needs of the Department and other GovernmentDepartments, following the Department's role framework as Cartographic Service of the Government.
