UPGRADING/REPLACING THE LAND INFORMATION SYSTEM (LIS) OF THE DEPARTMENT OF LANDS AND SURVEYS – PHASE B

Short Description / Objective

The Project includes the development, regulation, parameterization and implementation of a new information system related to legal and fiscal functions, for the Department of Lands Surveys (DLS), which will replace and improve all the functions of the existing old system. The purpose of the Project is the creation of an integrated modern Land Information System (LIS), with upgraded, enriched and redesigned functions, designed in a way that serves efficiently, seamlessly and reliably both the operational processes of the DLS, as well as the provision of services to all independently the services of the wider public sector, other organizations and the citizen. 

Additionally the Project includes the purchase, installation/configuration and maintenance of computer equipment to upgrade the infrastructure of the Web Platform “DLS PORTAL”, of the Department of Land and Surveys. The aim of the project is to add new elements / data / geographical information and new functionalities.

The project is implemented within the framework of the Cohesion Policy Program “THALIA 2021-2027” with the co-financing of the EU.

Progress/Implementation Stage

The object of the Project will be implemented through the following Contracts:

1) Basic Contract for the Upgrade/Replacement of the LIS

The tender was announced on September 29, 2021 (No. DITS2021/042/A/A) and is in the evaluation stage. The ratification of the Agreement is expected to take place in December 2023, while its completion is estimated in January 2028.

2) Contract for upgrading the infrastructure of the "DLS Portal". 

The tender was announced on September 5, 2022 (No. DITS2022/019/D/A) and awarded in February 2023. The completion of the Contract is expected to take place in September 2024.
