REGISTRATION OF LEASE/LEASEHOLD
Who it concerns:
Any agreement for the lease of immovable property for a period greater than 15 years
may be registered with the Department of Lands and Surveys. The registration of such
lease agreement entitles the lessee to transfer, mortgage, pass on to his/her heirs or
sell by public auction such leasehold.
Required Documents / Conditions / Samples:
- Application N.304
- Πρωτότυπη Σύμβαση με πιστοποιημένες υπογραφές. Η χαρτοσήμανση είναι απαραίτητη μόνο εάν το έγγραφο έχει υπογραφεί έστω και από έναν συμβαλλόμενο πριν από την 1/1/2026.
- Form N313 – Πιστοποιητικό Διευθέτησης Φορολογικών Υποχρεώσεων (Φόρου Ακίνητης Ιδιοκτησίας/ Φόρου Κεφαλαιουχικών Κερδών / Τέλους για σκοπούς Κεντρικού Φορέα Ισότιμης Κατανομής Βαρών)
- Receipt obtained from the Municipality or the Community Council in whose boundaries the property is situated, indicating that all taxes have been paid
- Βεβαίωση Καταβολής αποχετευτικών τελών από τον Επαρχιακό Οργανισμό Αυτοδιοίκησης (ΕΟΑ) στα όρια του οποίου βρίσκεται το ακίνητο
- Βεβαίωση καταβολής τελών υδατοπρομήθειας από τον Επαρχιακό Οργανισμό Αυτοδιοίκησης (ΕΟΑ) ή Κοινοτικό Συμβούλιο στα όρια του οποίου βρίσκεται το ακίνητο, ανάλογα με την περίπτωση. It is noted that one of the following should be provided as applicable:
- Βεβαίωση καταβολής του τέλους υδατοπρομήθειας
- Certificate stating that the property does not fall within the limits of the Water Supply Authority
How to submit:
The submission of all necessary documents is effected at the DLO you wish to have the legal transaction processed. Once the validity and completeness of the documents have been verified by the DLO, you shall be notified of the date and the time of the appointment to process the transaction, either by telephone or via e-mail
Fees / Charges:
| a) Upon Lease or Sublease between husband and wife or between relatives up to third degree of kindred: - 0,5% on the market value of the Leasehold with minimum fee of €100.00 |
| b) In all other cases of Lease or Sublease: - 5% on the market value of the leasehold with minimum fee of €100.00. |
| c) Upon lease or sublease from parent to child: no fees |
| Note: Upon Lease or Sublease registration cases, registration fees shall be reduced by fifty percent (50%). |
| d) Fees for issuing a Certificate of Registration for Lease of Sublease €20.00. |
